About and Press

SolarList is a Brooklyn-based cleanweb startup.  We help people go solar.  Founded by two entrepreneurs with a passion for solar energy, SolarList exists to help homeowners understand the economics of their roof’s solar potential.  “Does it make sense for me to go solar?” “How much can I save?”  “Can you help me understand how to navigate the process and introduce me to a reputable, local installer?”  SolarList can answer all of these questions for homeowners, free of charge.  SolarList rewards students across the country to personally deliver this custom education to homeowners in their communities.

SolarList was awarded the grand prize for the best Cleanweb, Energy, Environment and Resilience App at the 2013 NYC BigApps competition; was a CROWDFUNDX NYC finalist, and has been featured in numerous internet publications for it’s innovative business model that empowers and activates a tremendous, untapped resource of students and enterprising young people, who are passionate about helping people go solar, to get involved and make an impact in their community.

SolarList has been featured by the following publications: Business Insider; Renewable Energy World; MIke Bloomberg’s Official Blog; The Cleanweb Initiative; NYC Gov’t News from the Blue Room; NY Economic Development Corporation; Alleywatch; Cleantech Finance; Advanced Energy Economy; CleanEdison
